Kate’s Romsey History Song

Welcome to my Romsey History Song Project.

I’ve written a comic song about the history of Romsey in 15 verses from all the way from pre history to the present day featuring the remarkable Mark Ponsford.

It starts like this…

In the summer I will make a film to accompany this to eventually share on YouTube and I will be shooting live action all around Romsey. I’m inviting others to participate (each will have a short cameo role) to share the fun and make this a community project.

I will need participants to dress up, wear make-up and follow direction (might be a few dance steps) so that when it’s all edited together it’s a hugely entertaining show. I’ll be looking for costumes etc.

These are some of the characters I’ll need..

  • Saxon posh girls/ladies
  • Norman men
  • Civil war soldiers
  • Victorian music hall entertainers
  • Modern posh woman
  • Estate agents (sharply dressed and groomed)

There are no fixed dates for filming – it’s when there is good weather and we are both free. Should take an hour of your time – or less!

Please let me know if you’d like to take part (and can help me to find costumes)?? I’ll be eager to hear from you. kate@katejacksonphoto.co.uk  01794 522376
